17 Well I did all that. Seems to work nicely - good (not very good) performance on
18 DVDs (worse than OS X, when others have reported that Linux should be faster).
19 At least this kernel drm driver didn't shut my machine (iBook 800) down appon
20 starting X. (Yes, the driver from Gatos fscked my machine somewhat - shut it
21 down, then reset my hardware clock to 1904, I kid you not.

23 Anyway - I still have the same problems with this, and all non-fbdev drivers.
24 I get a slightly irritating faint mouse cursor. It is barely visible on white
25 webpages, and have a blurred, shadowy look. I haven't a clue what the problem
26 is but maybe someone does. The screen scrambles somewhat on starting X as well.
27 This isn't a problem, but is worrying. It does right itself within a few seconds.
