4 |
Ok. That sounds reasonable. How much is considered enough testing? |
5 |
If I install an ebuild and it at least compiles and starts up with |
6 |
no problems, should I submit it to the list? Or should I wait a while, |
7 |
test it more thoroughly before submitting it? |
8 |
|
9 |
If I wait to much, I'm afraid I'll forget to do it. Is there a way |
10 |
that I can ask the system which non-keyworded packages I am running? |
11 |
That way I could do this every month or so and report whether I had |
12 |
or had not had problems with that package. |
13 |
|
14 |
A little automated script to do this might be handy. Something that |
15 |
says "You've been running this untested package X for 25 days. Have |
16 |
you had any problems with it?" Maybe providing something like that |
17 |
with gentoo would encourage feedback. |
