Ok. That sounds reasonable. How much is considered enough testing?
If I install an ebuild and it at least compiles and starts up with
no problems, should I submit it to the list? Or should I wait a while,
test it more thoroughly before submitting it?

If I wait to much, I'm afraid I'll forget to do it. Is there a way
that I can ask the system which non-keyworded packages I am running?
That way I could do this every month or so and report whether I had
or had not had problems with that package.

A little automated script to do this might be handy. Something that
says "You've been running this untested package X for 25 days. Have
you had any problems with it?" Maybe providing something like that
with gentoo would encourage feedback.
