I have been in gentoo-land for a while now, plodding along with a dual P3 |

box...but now I want to bring all teh wonders of gentoo to my little MT |

that could beige G3. The machine is decent...i can give it 256Mb Ram, it |

has a 330 Mhz CPU, about 36G of scsi space.. the only thing a bit lacking |

is the video system...ati rage II - I think - but I gave it a vram boost |
| 8 |
from one of my agp ati rage cards. |

Anyway..thing is..a while ago I installed bootX and debian pretty |

succesfully..but was kinda disappointed by how slowly kde ran and didn;t |

have time to really tweak it ...in a way which I now so much more |

comfortable doing under gentoo. |

So after all that...the big question is.. how do I start the install...is |

there some ramdisk install image that I can copy from the LiveCD into by |
| 17 |
bootX folder and select it at boot. Or is there some other way I can do |
| 18 |
teh install. |
