Hi,

I'm now on my iBook.

I added the following lines in my modules.conf:
alias /dev/dsp dmasound_pmac
alias /dev/mixer dmasound_pmac
These cause the module to be loaded whenever the device is referred.
Alternatively, they could be loaded at startup.

modules.conf is automatically generated with modutils read doc to know
how to do it.

Hope it helps,
David
