I've had gentoo installed on my ibook for a couple of days now and am |
2 |
attempting to get pmud and pbbuttonsd running. When I first compiled |
3 |
the kernel I did not enable |
4 |
|
5 |
Power management support for PowerBooks |
6 |
|
7 |
in the kernel config under "Macintosh device drivers" and as such did |
8 |
not have a /dev/pmu device. So I recompiled the kernel with that option |
9 |
turned on and now have a /dev/pmu device. |
10 |
|
11 |
The problem I'm having is that the drivers I have compiled as modules: |
12 |
|
13 |
macintosh/macserial.o |
14 |
wireless/airport.o |
15 |
scsi/mesh.o |
16 |
sound/dmasound/dmasound_pmac.o |
17 |
|
18 |
are not loading (specifically airport and dmasound_pmac as those I have |
19 |
listed to autoload). When I run update-modules I get: |
20 |
|
21 |
*** Unresolved symbols in |
22 |
/lib/modules/2.4.20-ppc-r3/kernel/drivers/<module> |
23 |
|
24 |
I am completely new to running Linux on macs and am not sure how my |
25 |
configuration is wrong. Any pointers? FYI, this is an iBook2 system. |
26 |
|
27 |
Thanks. |
