I have an old wallstreet, and the also had a great deal of trouble |
4 |
setting up the modem using the 2.4 kernel. I have YDL installed on the |
5 |
main drive and have been using a 2.2 kernel with the modem linked to |
6 |
ttyS2. |
7 |
|
8 |
I noticed in the boot messages that the modem port come up as tty02, |
9 |
but linking to that doesn't work. |
10 |
|
11 |
In a fit of desperation I tried linking to the VERY old serial port |
12 |
description cua2, and it works! |
13 |
|
14 |
YMMV, but let me (us) know if it works. I thought the old descriptions |
15 |
had long been removed, but it was the only way I could get it to work. |
16 |
|
17 |
I would be curious to know why this is so. Anybody out there who can |
18 |
enlighten us? |
