Hi...

Ok, since I have this Power Mac 8600 in the next room, which is likely to
become a web server before too long, there's something I've been
wondering about. It has no local video, due to me not yet being bright
enough to figure out what's wrong, but that's ok -- that's why we have
SSH. ;)

What I'm wondering is, is there some way using some combination of NFS,
automount, and maybe a quick shell script or two (I can say "Hello World"
in Perl, too...) that I could get removable media mounted on the Mac to
appear on my KDE desktop? Preferably in the Mac mode -- put a disk in,
it appears; drop it in the trash, it ejects -- or close to.

Anyway, if someone has done this, it would be fun to know about. I
haven't even got NFS working yet, so this is just a dream right now, but
it would help me get the contents of some old Zip disks onto this PC. :)
