Hi All,

Two questions:

One:
I'm currently using Gentoo for x86 (I love it) but when I tried to
install it on my Powerbook Lombard, I couldn't get the networking to
come up, even after modprobing. I assure you, I'm no Linux newbie.
This was about two weeks ago or so, maybe a little less. I needed the
powerbook to work with Linux, so I just installed Debian, which is cool,
but I'm psyched to get Gentoo up and running on this. So, anyone know a
workaround, or if there have been distro changes to reflect this
problem?

Two:
Is there a current PPC kernel that works on the new G4s? I'm getting
one at work, and while MacOS is fine and all that, I'm more of a linux
head. I realize that the thing will more than likely boot, but will X
work? If any of you have experience with any flavor of Linux on this
box, I'd be curious to hear.

Thanks in advance, and to the ppc-devs out there, keep it up! It is
good to have choice on the L/PPC platform.
