hi all!
I have a problem with module dependencies in this kernel version. When
I make modules_install, depmod -a returns correctly (w/o errors). But
when I reboot my machine, depmod -a returns errors for unresolved
symbols related with pmu. I installed System.map in the boot directory
and checket yaboot.conf for a correct sysmap option.
I did also a 'depmod -aeF /boot/System.map' that returned without
errors. The file modules.dep is created correctly, but there's no way
to insert airport or something else. The output of ksyms returns the
symbols contained in the loaded modules. But nothing changed in the
behaviour of my 'depmod -a'. the modules that return an error are
airport.o, apm-emu, sound for mac.
why depmod behaves so? where can i find out more about depmod?
