Subject: [gentoo-ppc-user] kernel oops during install
Date: Thu, 17 Apr 2003 18:35:54
Message-Id: 3E9EF50D.5020403@technaut.darktalker.net
I made a custom install CD based off the 1.4_rc6. I got rid of the
gcloop thing by mounting it on /dev/cloop0 and doing 'dd if=/dev/cloop0
of=live.img'. I modified the linuxrc script in initrd.img to mount this
new file instead of live.gcloop. Everything works find and dandy until
about 5 minutes after it says its starting INIT. I get this message:

Usage: init 012345SsQqAaBbCcUu
VFS: mounted toor (ext2 filesystem) readonly.
change_root: old root had d_count=16
Oops: kernel access of bad area, sig: 11

And the a bunch of kernel trace messages and the 'Will restart in 180
seconds' message. What's going on?
