| 3 | I have a kernel "linux-2.4-ppc-ibook-2.4.21-pre4.tar.gz" downloaded |

| 5 | add the line "alias eth0 gmac" to my /etc/modules.conf, which makes my |
| 6 | ethernet card available after running "/etc/init.d/net.eth0 start". |

| 8 | But, when I reboot, the alias-line in modules.conf has vanished, and |
| 9 | my ethernet card could not be enabled automatically. What can I do? |
