I appreciate your efforts. I _really_ do! (I've read those |

Why didn't you say that to begin with? Going bakc into `make menuconfig` I |

see that this is the one setting that wasn't preset. (I dismissed the |

second half of the kernel instructions after finding that the settings had |
| 16 |
already been made by default.) Wouldn't this setting affect the console |
| 17 |
too? (i.e., this error only occurs in KDE.) |
