GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647

ctrl+alt+f{x} works for me where x is VT number... ie. ctrl+alt+F2 gives
me second VT, using same keyboard map. Also using the cmd (apple_) key
right and left sides of keyboard you should be able to scroll up and
down through VT\'s.
