Looks like a couple new devs came in unannounced under the radar. |
2 |
Pretty sure there was no announcement for the following |

The 2nd is some what good news as they are the person ignored on PR1721 |

While Java does need all the help it can get. I am a bit surprised at |
14 |
someone becoming a developer with little to no contributions. I can |
15 |
only find the one contribution, the PR above. I hope I am wrong and |
16 |
they have contributed more. |
17 |
|
18 |
Not sure what it says to others who want to become developers but must |
19 |
prove themselves first with contributions. This has nothing to do with |
20 |
me. I know the path to become a developer has not been easy for many. |
21 |
That is good to see the process improve, and be faster. Still I would |
22 |
think contributions to be part of that process. |
23 |
|
24 |
To me some what seems a move out of desperation to bring on someone |
25 |
pretty green who has contributed very little. Just because an area, |
26 |
Java, is heavily neglected. I hope I am wrong!!! |
27 |
|
28 |
Java is not really a trivial area for people just to jump in. I welcome |
29 |
any existing developers go update a Java ebuild or two. Form an opinion |
30 |
for yourself. |
