Without commenting on this specific issue can I use this as an excuse to
remind council candidates that of the 13 people running for council only
5 have posted manifestos? While I typically grep the various mailing
lists to try to get a feel for each candidate, having somebody actually
clearly state their position would be helpful.
Perhaps we should have a _reopen_nomination option in future elections?
I'm a bit uncomfortable having to vote for somebody who doesn't even
put up a simple statement of what they stand for. I could care less
about the format of such a statement - if you just want to post one line
and say "I'll do what I think is best - now let me get back to my CVS
commits" at least I'll know how they want to be evaluated (CIA, here I
come).
There is only a week left...
