Hi, |
14 |
|
15 |
So, since I saw no opposition to my proposals of last week, I went ahead |
16 |
and created a wiki page over at the freedesktop.org wiki[1]. For every |
17 |
talk proposal, it contains the name(s) of the proposer(s), a |
18 |
single-sentence description, and a link into the archives of this |
19 |
mailinglist to the mail that contains the details. |
20 |
|
21 |
If I missed anyone, please feel free to add to the list. There were some |
22 |
requests to coordinate efforts with some other devrooms, but I didn't |
23 |
put those on that list -- I didn't think it would be useful. There are |
24 |
also some talks on the list of which I'm not 100% sure I'd accept if it |
25 |
were all up to me, but I don't think a coordinator's job is to also be a |
26 |
paper committee (or what do you call that) -- at least not this soon in |
27 |
the process, certainly. |
28 |
|
29 |
I've also added to that page a list of coordinators. Since only two |
30 |
people explicitly said they would want to take on that role for their |
31 |
distribution (me for Debian, and Petteri Räty for Gentoo), the other |
32 |
names there are tentative until the people involved confirm. |
33 |
|
34 |
With that out of the way, |
35 |
|
36 |
By my count, we've now got 9 talk proposals. That's, well, an |
37 |
interesting start, but absolutely insufficient. I'd like to ask |
38 |
coordinators (tentative or not ;-P) to please poke their respective |
39 |
communities some more. I will do the same within Debian. |
40 |
|
41 |
Regards, |
42 |
