First of all, I would like to say thanks to all of the people that are |

working hard to make 2004.0 a reality. The work that is being done is |

good, very good in fact. |

I would like to push back the release date for 2004.0 from January 22 to |
| 7 |
February 7. The reason for doing this is so that we can get proper |
| 8 |
testing in for livecds, GRP, etc. There is no reason to kill ourselves |
| 9 |
to get everything out of the door by the 22nd. |

On February 7, I am going to recommend that all arch leads snap the |
| 12 |
Portage tree for release of 2004.0. As always, if you do not feel ready |
| 13 |
to release, don't worry about it. Just snap when you can - our main |
| 14 |
concern is quality. |
