Alright. I just wasn't aware of the current stance. |

Like I said, I'm definitely for it, provided there is a way to duplicate |
27 |
the Gentoopix install onto a system with little to no work. Think |
28 |
something along the lines of: |
29 |
|
30 |
root@gentoopix # gentoopix-hdinstall |
31 |
Do you need to partition your drives? (y/N) |
32 |
What time zone are you in? |
33 |
What username would you like? |
34 |
What hostname would you like? |
35 |
... |
36 |
Copying files... |
37 |
|
38 |
Something VERY simple that gets a system up VERY quickly. There's |
39 |
nothing stopping a user from doing a normal stage1 or stage3 install |
40 |
from the CD, but the ability to pop the CD in, answer a few questions, |
41 |
and have the CD copy itself to the hard disk would be very beneficial |
42 |
and would reduce the amount of complaints we will get for killing GRP. |
43 |
Also, it allows for a network-less install. |
44 |
|
45 |
Yay! |
46 |
|
47 |
Now everyone is happy! |
48 |
|

*grin* |
