Hi all - |
5 |
Sorry for the seeming ultimatum - I wrote that message at a time when I |
6 |
was busy/ preoccupied with other things, and my word choice was |
7 |
certainly not the best. |
8 |
|
9 |
There is no set drop-dead deadline for 2004.0. Somewhere around Jan 22 |
10 |
would be nice, but obviously, and understandably, not all arches will be |
11 |
able to do that. Like I said to Jason - if you can't make the deadline |
12 |
because of QA/ testing issues - don't worry about it. Do your best to |
13 |
get your arch to where they need to be to release - don't kill yourself |
14 |
over a date ;) |
15 |
|
16 |
As for catalyst/ livecds, they are getting there. Daniel says that a |
17 |
fully functioning livecd is not far away (sorry for the ambiguity - |
18 |
Daniel probably knows a better eta). Once x86 gets working, it should |
19 |
not be that hard to drop in support for ppc, sparc, etc. If we can't |
20 |
make the release date because we don't have a livecd for arch x, its no |
21 |
big deal. It would be nice to release on the 22nd, but again, don't kill |
22 |
yourself over it. Each arch will release when they are ready. |
23 |
|
24 |
Again, sorry for the misunderstanding. What I said was wrong. |
25 |
|
26 |
Cheers, |
27 |
