Hi all,

As the Gentoo Handbook has been split into architecture-specific handbooks,
the main URL where you can download a tarball for the handbooks has changed
too. I have uploaded the snapshot of today's handbook (as I have not
received a single input regarding kernels and bootoptions nor a content of
the CDs - Universal, Minimal and Packages- that will be made except for a
single bugreport stating a change in kernelsets for GRP) which you can find
on the following URL:

http://dev.gentoo.org/~swift/releng/handbook-${ARCH}.tar.gz

with ${ARCH} being one of "alpha", "amd64", "hppa", "mips", "ppc", "sparc"
or "x86".

This link is a symlink to the "latest" snapshot that I've updated, which
currently is

http://dev.gentoo.org/~swift/releng/handbook-${ARCH}-20040415.tar.gz

I'll update the symlink every time I've updated the snapshot and inform you
through this mailinglist.

The tarball doesn't contain the PDFs yet. If you want to check the PDFs,
take a look at http://dev.gentoo.org/~plasmaroo/handbook-test/ which
contains (older) PDFs that Tim generates offline.

Can the individual architectures *please* provide me with the appropriate
items so that we can give you working documentation for the LiveCD? The GDP
(well, I personally) need 2 full days to check and update the documentation to
fit with the given information so don't ask me to fix and upload handbook
snapshots 2 hours before the deadline...

@John Davis: Can you update the link to the handbook snapshot on the releng
page? TIA

Wkr,
Sven Vermeulen
