Hi all, |
2 |
|
3 |
As the Gentoo Handbook has been split into architecture-specific handbooks, |
4 |
the main URL where you can download a tarball for the handbooks has changed |
5 |
too. I have uploaded the snapshot of today's handbook (as I have not |
6 |
received a single input regarding kernels and bootoptions nor a content of |
7 |
the CDs - Universal, Minimal and Packages- that will be made except for a |
8 |
single bugreport stating a change in kernelsets for GRP) which you can find |
9 |
on the following URL: |
10 |
|
11 |
http://dev.gentoo.org/~swift/releng/handbook-${ARCH}.tar.gz |
12 |
|
13 |
with ${ARCH} being one of "alpha", "amd64", "hppa", "mips", "ppc", "sparc" |
14 |
or "x86". |
15 |
|
16 |
This link is a symlink to the "latest" snapshot that I've updated, which |
17 |
currently is |
18 |
|
19 |
http://dev.gentoo.org/~swift/releng/handbook-${ARCH}-20040415.tar.gz |
20 |
|
21 |
I'll update the symlink every time I've updated the snapshot and inform you |
22 |
through this mailinglist. |
23 |
|
24 |
The tarball doesn't contain the PDFs yet. If you want to check the PDFs, |
25 |
take a look at http://dev.gentoo.org/~plasmaroo/handbook-test/ which |
26 |
contains (older) PDFs that Tim generates offline. |
27 |
|
28 |
Can the individual architectures *please* provide me with the appropriate |
29 |
items so that we can give you working documentation for the LiveCD? The GDP |
30 |
(well, I personally) need 2 full days to check and update the documentation to |
31 |
fit with the given information so don't ask me to fix and upload handbook |
32 |
snapshots 2 hours before the deadline... |
33 |
|
34 |
@John Davis: Can you update the link to the handbook snapshot on the releng |
35 |
page? TIA |
36 |
|
37 |
Wkr, |
38 |
