I just received email about a new computer algebra system called SAGE. |
2 |
The home page is http://modular.ucsd.edu/sage/. SAGE is a Python-based |
3 |
wrapper around PARI, GAP, GMP, Singular, mwrank, and NTL. All of these |
4 |
appear to be already in Portage except "mwrank". However, the SAGE |
5 |
source comes with a copy of all its dependencies. |
6 |
|
7 |
I'm planning to check SAGE out in the near future. Meanwhile, it does |
8 |
look interesting, although I don't think it's as "industrial strength" |
9 |
as Axiom or Maxima. |
