Yes I know what you mean by "thin crowd" and "make it look alive".
My idea for a mailing list in this case would also be to invite people
working on a similar line in other distros to try to foster collaboration.
I am not completely sure that's a good idea but I know there are a
few other people packaging sage on distros and our voices are not
necessarily caring much weight individually.
