</div>Last time I tried to convert gentoo-x86 to mercurial it ran for 30<br>
days on a high powered ppc64 system. If you want to see how well<br>
mercurial compares I highly suggest getting a treesnap of gentoo-x86<br>
and doing the conversion. I tried in 2006 and I hope the conversion<br>
tools have improved.<br>
That being said I'm pretty sure most of us are set on git here and it<br>
would take some convincing to try something else.<br>
