Why run a firewall at all if your hosts are so well configured?

If security by obscurity doesn't work, why not publish details of your
internal network on the Internet, or allow zone transfers from anywhere?

The whole point is to make yourself less attractive as a target.

Are you really saying that you would have no problem with an external
source running Nessus against your entire internal network?
