was not designed to do authenticated smtp. That being said, you need to |

patch qmail with either TLS patches or if you are using vpopmail you will |

need to patch accordingly and use the vcheckpasswd (if I remember correctly) |

in the run script for qmail-smtpd. |

I don't know what all is possible in the gentoo USE flags to support this. |

I used qmail for years and finally switch to postfix and that has made all |
