| I know I can run my own rsync server and have gentoo sync from that and
| I remember seeing you can emerge binary packages made with the buildpkg
| flag. Is there anything inherantly wrong with what I am doing or major
| problems that will arise? Is there any documentation (or posts I
| couldn't find) for this sort of thing that will help me out?

We've done this for a heap of workstations and made it into an automatic
process. If you intend to maintain an authoritative repository of
binaries then there are a few management problems involved. Its all
documented, along with some scripts at
http://www.scms.waikato.ac.nz/~baz. It may not be relevant to how you
want to maintain your servers, but there might be something there thats
relevant to you (particularly near the end of the doc).
