No, it's just that tuxfamily offers the ability to have multiple
repositories for a single project. But since we needed just one, I
named it 'trunk', but I could just as easily have chosen 'main',
'beacon' or anything else :-)
Incidentally, the project was, at one point, hosted on Gentoo's SVN
servers; but I didn't do a very good job of migrating it to Git - as
evidenced by the first commit: http://git.tuxfamily.org/?p=gitroot/beacon/trunk.git;a=commit;h=59c21ad2416afe24e51924a122a6c9b83dfa6b3e
