For another comparison here's my U1 (140HMz/SCSI) vs. my U5 (270MHz/IDE)
(and the U1 is my server, running many services, the U5 has no real
purpose here except to consume power and test gentoo things so is
typically idle)

ultra1 # time sloccount /usr/src/linux-2.6.7 
real    15m49.943s
user    9m22.458s
sys     3m12.959s

ultra5 # time sloccount /usr/src/linux-2.6.7 
real    12m35.811s
user    6m48.468s
sys     3m4.309s

this is also why I want a dual U2 :)
