You are getting this note from a Samsung SyncMaster 171v LCD monitor
on a U2 (2x400), Creator3D (ffb2+) graphics, connected with a converter
as freshy98 described.  To the extent ViewSonic is the same as 171v,
you are fine.

(The particular adaptor I am using goes by the description
"13W3 Male to HD15 Female Adapters" -- "Primarily used to connect
monitors with VGA (HD15) connectors to systems with 13W3 framebuffer."
eBay usually does not have such a thing, but you can see one here,
for example: http://www.ultraspec.com/pcatalog.asp?pID=1395-SUN
One or two other companies sell them, too, and I have no association
with UltraSpec.)
