Hi all

I haven't been much active lately due to my finals (they're finished now,
probably with good results but the final feedback hasn't been delivered
yet). In the last few days I've tried getting the number of documentation
bugs reduced but now I'm reaching another stronghold of free-time shortage.

I'm going on vacation from the 8th of July until the 24th. During that
period I will not be reachable by any means (not even cellphone [1]). This
also means that I cannot continue (read: start) writing the Gentoo
Foundation Charter. The e-mail you received a few weeks ago still is the
latest update on this item.

It hasn't grown yet because of all the literature research (reading the
charters and by-laws of other OS/FS-related NFPs isn't as fun as I thought
it was) I needed to do (it's the first time I would write such a document).

When I return from my vacation I should have "plenty" of time to get back on
my Gentoo-related duties and promises.

Wkr,
Sven Vermeulen

[1] Well, that's a lie, I will check my cellphone a few minutes each day to
see if there are any SMS messages in case something terrible happened
and my folks want me to return.

Bent Hindrup Andersen, Danish MEP, about the Software Patent Directive:
The approach of the Commission and Council in this directive is shocking.
They are making full use of all the possibilities of evading democracy that
the current Community Law provides. <http://lwn.net/Articles/84009/>
