Hi Corey,

You should just record the amounts from September on. From May thru
September, you did not have a bank account so were not in a position to
receive donations or pay for expenses, so I am pretty sure they do not
"count" as such from a govt perspective. 

The income/taxes/expenses for these dates will be reported on Gentoo
Technologies, Inc.'s 2004 corporate tax return. From early Sept 2004
onwards, we are recording them as money set aside for the Foundation and
will be reporting them as such to the IRS. Not quite sure this is done yet,
will find out in the next couple of weeks as we begin work on our returns. I
will keep you posted as I meet with my new accountant and figure this out.

If these numbers are for your 501(c)(6) filing, you may want to hold off
until very early 2005 and then I can get you an exact and official $ amount
for donations and money contributed to the Foundation thru Dec 31, 2004.
