OK. I've also been busy (reiserfs filesystem failure on my box, running the |
8 |
store, family, etc.) Since neither of us have had a chance to file a |
9 |
response, the pending trademark registrations will be cancelled by the |
10 |
UST&PO. |
11 |
|
12 |
While this might seem like a big bummer, it is probably for the best. The |
13 |
trademark registration was one of those remaining areas that I was still |
14 |
handling on my own. That really isn't my job anymore. Now the Foundation can |
15 |
restart the trademark registration process on behalf of the Gentoo |
16 |
community, so it's not being handled by just one person. |
17 |
|
18 |
Before that can happen, we will need to craft a legal document that will |
19 |
transfer copyrights (graphics, code) from Gentoo Technologies, Inc. to the |
20 |
Foundation, and allow me to use the Gentoo logos for the Store. This should |
21 |
not be difficult or very time-consuming, and I'm hoping that the [Redacted] |
22 |
people can help us with this. |
23 |
|
24 |
Do you think we could make the copyright transfer to the Foundation our |
25 |
first priority for [Redacted], and attempt to get the copyright transfer in |
26 |
effect before the end of the year? I think that the other things on your |
27 |
legal to-do list are dependent on getting this copyright transfer in place |
28 |
first, anyway. |
29 |
