When someone asks me if they can use the Gentoo logo's I state that the |
8 |
Gentoo logo is copyright protected and the Gentoo name trademarked, that |
9 |
we're currently not allowing any commercial use of this logo generally and |
10 |
that we're working on an agreement form so that this is well documented in |
11 |
the future. I also mention that commercial use will probably be permitted in |
12 |
the future given some conditions. |

It's an intermediate answer, shifting the problem in time until we have made |
15 |
a decision. |

Bent Hindrup Andersen, Danish MEP, about the Software Patent Directive: |

The approach of the Commission and Council in this directive is shocking. |

They are making full use of all the possibilities of evading democracy that |

the current Community Law provides. <http://lwn.net/Articles/84009/> |
