For me I feel like making Daniel something like an honorairy developer. 
Basically he would still be in some ways tied to gentoo, but would not need 
to do anything or be responsible for anything. Similarly to honorairy 
chairpersons/members. Another thing which is typical in such honorairy setups 
is that the person in question normally has very little to say about it ;-).
