9 The 501(c)(3) subsidiary would be a seperate entity that your average user
10 could use to donate to on a tax exempt basis. That organization would be a
11 charity in that we would be accepting donations into that organization that
12 would be used to fuel Gentoo development. This works seperate from the
13 Gentoo Foundation 501(c)(6) itself, but would most likely be operated by the
14 same people. It could be used for planned fundraising activities where
15 donation amounts could be more controlled. This can be far down the road,
16 I'm not saying they need to both be filed initially. It would just be
17 another avenue for funding Gentoo development.
