Does someone have a paypal account who could be a holding place for this? |
2 |
We could announce the goal and the temp. paypal account, and then transfer |
3 |
that money to Kurt who could then open the account. I've talked to many |
4 |
people who said they would be willing to help open an account. In the same |
5 |
note we could go even further and announce the need for funds to do the |
6 |
501(c)(6) filing, $500.. So either set a goal of $500 and put any excess |
7 |
towards the IRS filing, or set a goal of $1,000 and any extra stays in the |
8 |
bank. |
9 |
|
10 |
I'm not saying this is the best solution, but I trust everyone in this group |
11 |
enough that anyone should be able to act as a middle man here. |

Subject: [gentoo-trustees] We need $500 for a bank account |
20 |
|
21 |
Regarding our bank account, NetBank (the original bank I was targeting) |
22 |
requires an initial deposit of $500. |
23 |
|
24 |
Looking at some of the other options, I wasn't able to find another |
25 |
alternative that a) was a business account and b) didn't have some sort of |
26 |
similar minimum deposit requirement. |
27 |
|
28 |
Regardless, we need to figure out how we're going to raise funds anyways, |
29 |
so...ideas on how we can come up with $500? |
