Hi trustees,

I'm in need of answers to 2 questions:

1) Is Gentoo going to officially start using Aaron Shi's Gentoo "infinity"
logo? I need a definite commitment from the trustees one way or the other so
I can order new products for the store and know for certain that I am using
the right logo. This issue would seem to be a trustee issue as the votes are
in for the Web contest, and the issue of what logo to use has legal
implications.

Personally I like the new "infinity" logo (since Gentoo presents an infinite
number of possibilities, it seems like a great fit) but wolf31o2 has told me
that there is a move afoot to nix the new "infinity" logo and keep what we
already have since some devs think it looks too "ricer." I also like the new
"infinity" logo because it's printable using 1 color, unlike our "g" and my
rendered "gentoo" logo. And I prefer it over the square "gentoo" logo that
we have been using for the last year.

I have already placed an order for some new "infinity" logo merchandise for
the store (today) but I'll put the order on hold until I know for sure.

2) I haven't gotten a reply as to whether the Foundation's legal people will
handle the UST&PO reply for the registered trademarks. Unless your person
can jump on this, I need to handle it immediately through peacocklaw.com to
meet the Nov 7 deadline.

Let me know,

Daniel
