al hacer el sync me da el siguiente error (después de un buen rato
bajando....)

io timeout after 180 seconds - exiting
rsync error: timeout in data send/receive (code 30) at io.c(109)
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (2687287 bytes read so far)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(189)

!!! Rsync has not successfully finished. It is recommended that you keep
!!! trying or that you use the 'emerge-webrsync' option if you are unable
!!! to use rsync due to firewall or other restrictions. This should be a
!!! temporary problem unless complications exist with your network
!!! (and possibly your system's filesystem) configuration.

y al hacer :
root@mig enboig # emerge-webrsync
Fetching most recent snapshot
Attempting to fetch file dated: 20050605
~ --- No md5sum present on the mirror. (Not yet available.)
Attempting to fetch file dated: 20050604

se queda parado mucho rato.....

puede que mi problema sera por el portage?

| Pues yo si que lo tengo, e instala bien, a si que parece que tienes
| el árbol de portage corrompido o algo. Prueba con emerge sync y
| luego emerge procps :/
