No estoy de acuerdo con lo que decís. En el kernel especifica que existen
dos módulos: uhci y usb-uhci. Te indica que elijas uno de esos dos
dependiendo del tipo de hardware.

UHCI (Intel PIIX4, VIA, ...) support --> uhci.o
UHCI Alternate Driver (JE) support  --> usb-uhci.o

Esto pone la ayuda:

Currently there exist two drivers for UHCI host controllers: this so-called
JE driver, and the one you get from "UHCI support", above.You need only one.

Corregidme si realmente hacen lo mismo los dos. Salu2.
