Po pierwsze jak widzisz sg0 nie sda...
Masz sterownik "generic scsi", ale niestety brak odpowiedniego kawałka dla 
usb-mass storage... przynajmniej tak mi się wydaje.
W moim przypadku zmieniłem komputer, teraz mam intelowy chipset i miałem w 
związku z tym przejścia związane z brakiem odpowiedniego drivera do usb 
(opcje USB_UHCI_HCD, USB_OHCI_HCD). Może też Ci brakuje czegoś w tej sekcji 
(Device Drivers->USB support)?

Zobacz najpierw co Ci udev wygenerował w /dev a potem mount (Przynajmniej jak 
masz problemy). Wydaje mi się, że sda1 może nawet u Ciebie nie istnieć...
