24 My answer would still be yes, though I can't remember the details, I
25 have had issues with this in several occasions, maybe five or six (all
26 the times I've tried this feature since I started using Gentoo, like a
27 decade ago). So, it's a feature that has always been broken, in all
28 the stable and experimental init systems that Gentoo has had since it
29 was born.

38 In that case, maybe systemd or a custom init script (even something
39 simple in local.start) could greatly improve your boot time without
40 breaking it. I don't mean you shouldn't use that feature though, I
41 just mean that you should be vigilant if you use it. It might just
42 work for your particular configuration, but it might also break at any
43 random moment tomorrow so you'll need to keep an eye on it and remind
44 to turn it off if some paranormal activity is detected in your machine
45 or something happens to your kittens. :)
