hello list, |
2 |
|
3 |
i can't mount my new usb mini cruzer sandisk, although i think i compiled the |
4 |
kernel with all the appropriate options. |
5 |
|
6 |
the drive itself is recognized. after pluging it in dmesg shows: |
7 |
|
8 |
usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 2 |
9 |
scsi0 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices |
10 |
usb-storage: device found at 2 |
11 |
usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning |
12 |
Vendor: SanDisk Model: Cruzer Mini Rev: 0.4 |
13 |
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 |
14 |
Attached scsi generic sg0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 0 |
15 |
usb-storage: device scan complete |
16 |
|
17 |
and sg0 is created under /dev. |
18 |
|
19 |
crw-rw---- 1 root 21, 0 oct 29 09:35 /dev/sg0 |
20 |
|
21 |
the problem is that i can't mount sg0 ("not a block device"), and there's no sda |
22 |
or anything else i could use as a device for mount. |
23 |
|
24 |
i'm using 2.6.12-gentoo-r2 and udev 058. |
25 |
|
26 |
best, |
27 |
