Why isn't ~* valid? That is what I have been using in package.keywords
and it has worked fine. Here are a few entires I have in
/etc/portage/package.keywords:

media-video/nvidia-glx ~*
media-video/nvidia-kernel ~*
media-video/nvidia-settings ~*
www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin ~*
www-client/mozilla-firefox ~*
dev-libs/nss ~*
mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird-bin ~*
net-misc/tsclient ~*
dev-db/mysql ~*

Those entries made emerge install the latest masked versions. Should I
replace all the ~* with ~amd64?

Are there any docs that explain all the files under /etc/portage with
examples of what goes in each?
