Hello all, |
2 |
I've got a CX5400 EPSON All-in-One printer/scanner. |
3 |
|
4 |
I tried to configure sane-backends in order to get it working on my |
5 |
2.6.14-gentoo (amd 64), but I think I'm doing something wrong. |
6 |
That is, when I type: |
7 |
# sane-find-scanner -q |
8 |
|
9 |
I get: |
10 |
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x0808 [USB MFP]) at |
11 |
libusb:002:003 |
12 |
|
13 |
But, after configuring /etc/sane.d/epkowa.conf with |
14 |
usb 0x04b8 0x0808 |
15 |
|
16 |
and /etc/sane.d/dll.conf with: |
17 |
epkowa |
18 |
|
19 |
Then if I try: |
20 |
# SANE_DEBUG_EPKOWA scanimage -L |
21 |
|
22 |
I'll get: |
23 |
[sanei_debug] Setting debug level of epkowa to 16. |
24 |
[epkowa] sane_init: iscan 1.17.0 |
25 |
[epkowa] sane_init, >usb 0x04b8 0x0808< |
26 |

27 |

28 |
[epkowa] attach(libusb:002:003, 3) |
29 |
[epkowa] attach: opening libusb:002:003 |

31 |

32 |
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, |
33 |
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the |
34 |
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation |
35 |
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). |
36 |
[epkowa] sane_exit |
37 |
|
38 |
And obviously no way also with xsane neither xscanimage. |
39 |
|
40 |
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE??? |
41 |
I would really appreciate any comment!!! |
42 |
Thank you, |
43 |
S.G. |
