Technically, no. But this is where I get a bit paranoid, because if |

you break the libstdc++ dynamic linking, you cripple the system |

(including portage!). |

So, I would only prune the old versions of gcc after doing a "emerge |

-e world" to rebuild *everything* with the new gcc. |
