Not a so good situation, if the only problem are ncurses try to copy |

binaries from another linux installation or livecd. |

if you have locate/slocate, and it's not updated you can also try to |

find where the old libraryes where and what version they had. |

Then also if the system seems work maybe a good idea do an |

emerge -eD world |

this wold re-compile all your system (at least one night) |
