Howdy, |
2 |
|
3 |
I noticed something over the past week or so that is a bit odd. I |
4 |
started using multiple sessions for Seamonkey and Firefox. I moderate a |
5 |
website and use Firefox for it but I am generally just plain old me. I |
6 |
use a separate session when I need to moderate something. I also |
7 |
started using Seamonkey in a similar way. I have one session for my |
8 |
regular stuff and a separate session for watching videos and such. |
9 |
Helps me to keep bookmarks separate too. This has worked great until a |
10 |
week or so ago. |
11 |
|
12 |
I notice that now if I close a Firefox session or even close both |
13 |
sessions, Firefox is still running as a process. If I try to open it |
14 |
again, I get the warning that the session is already running, even tho I |
15 |
closed it and it is gone. I get the same thing from both Seamonkey and |
16 |
Firefox. I don't recall any upgrade that started this, although it |
17 |
could be one that did it. I also don't know what is actually supposed |
18 |
to kill those processes. I use KDE4 of course and here is a list of |
19 |
other info below. I can confirm they are running with ps aux | grep |
20 |
<seamonkey or firefox> so it is detecting it correctly. |

Is this a bug or some setting I missed somewhere? If a bug, whose |
54 |
package should I file it against? |
55 |
|
56 |
Also, when I close one and restart, I have to kill the process that is |
57 |
still running. Is there anyway to tell what process goes with which |
58 |
session? |

Thanks much. |
