1 I have the opposite problem from luis jure. I do not mount drives
2 often, so I am not sure exactly when this problem started, but gentoo
3 is now automounting drives and I have never wanted that. I run fvwm
4 with a lot of xterms, so it is not the window manager doing things for
5 me, it is something in the usb system.

7 My system is ~amd64 running the 2.6.37-gentoo-r1 kernel, and this
8 problem has been happening for a month or two; I thought at first it
9 was the usual gentoo temporary screwup, but it hasn't gone away.
