At a guess, when the cd stops spinning, type gentoo at that prompt. this
should boot it into the gentoo kernel it will spin for a while while it
detects your hardware and things, then eventually you'll get to a prompt
where you can do the install.

If you want to use speakup to  do the install, then you'd type gentoo
speakup_synth=yoursynth
