The versions you are looking for are in the tree but they are masked and
keyworded. You just need to add them to your keyword and unmask files
so you can install them. This is what I show for squid:
[-P-] [M~] net-proxy/squid-184.108.40.206_beta:0
[-P-] [M~] net-proxy/squid-220.127.116.11_beta-r1:0
According to the bug report, they are working on making it stable.
